Vacation at Hilton Head - August 24 - 31, 2007

Anne and I took the kids to our time share at Hilton Head from August 24th through the 31st.  We had a great time doing nothing!  The best kind of vacation.

Actually, we did spend a lot of time at the pool and the beach and we did take a day trip to Savannah.

Christine collected dozens of shells and Nick spent a lot of time surfing on his 'boogey board' in the Atlantic.  The waves were great.  The weather was sunny, very hot and humid.

Each morning, Anne and I took a long walk on the beach before the kids woke up.  On Tuesday, Anne and I saw the lifeguard running towards the water telling everyone to get out.  We looked about 100 yards off shore and saw dozens of sharks attacking a school of fish.  The sharks were not very large, but they were flipping out of the water chasing the fish.  The pelicans flew over the sharks to eat the food that the sharks missed.  It was quite an amazing thing to see.
