Game 4 - May 17, 2009 - Plymouth Lasers - 5 CW3 Red - 0
The Lasers faced little opposition with CW3 again today. We played an exceptionally good defensive game. We passed well, cleared the ball well and outplayed the Red team very well today.
Here's our players did:
Joe led the attack against our opponent, masterfully setting up multiple goals - he had three assists! Joe also did a great job recovering the ball every shift he was on. Mark shut out CW3 in goal in the first half. In the second half, he played defense and midfield. He provided a lot of power and some great steals and passes. Kevin scored two goals and helped others try to score in the second half. He was awesome in his attacks, corner kicks and passes. Nick played a strong midfield with great passing and steals. Carter was great on defense today with great coverage, interceptions, steals and passes. Kyle really shined at left midfield with several shots on goal and several great passes. Austin was the key to our shutout. He was a brick wall again in the middle and kept the ball on the offensive side of the field. Josh was super effective at midfield with great blocks and strong passes. Paul was aggressive and very strong at right midfield. He had an assist and made several great passes. James was amazing today. In the first half, he scored two goals and had an assist. In the second half, he was goal keeper and held CW3 scoreless. Bradley was great on defense and midfield. He nearly scored several times and made some great passes and saves. Jon was incredible on defense. He made several amazing stops, including one right on the goal line. He also had an assist. Evan made several great stops on defense and was very aggressive in preventing attacks. Chris provided a lot of power for the defense and protected our goal all game. Dan provided superb defense all game with great stops and clears. Drew was great at midfield in the first half, scoring an amazing goal with his head in a corner kick. He also provided a lot of spark to the defense at the end of the game. Craig was fantastic and very aggressive at defense, keeping the ball out of our zone all game.
