Game 5 - May 30, 2009 - Plymouth Lasers - 3 Farmington - 3
The Lasers fell behind 3-1 right after half time but came back with two goals to tie it at the last minute. We tried hard to get another goal to turn this into a win, but came just short.
Here's our players did:
Joe scored two goals and had an assist. He dominated the ball and made several shots on goal. Mark played goal in the first half and played defense / midfield in the second half. Kevin played outstanding, taking several shots on goal and nearly scoring. Nick was great today really fighting for the ball and making great passes. He nearly scored on the second half, but his shot went wide of the net. Kyle fought hard for the ball and made great passes and took several shots on goal. He had one assist. Austin was once again strong in the middle of the field and made some amazing stops and steals. He also had an assist Josh played a very good game tonight, stopping the ball many times and blasting it to the offense. Paul played an inspired game with aggressive passing and shooting on goal as well as an assist. James had several shots in goal in the first half as well as an assist. In the second half, he was great in goal making several incredible saves. Bradley provided a lot of power on midfield and on defense, making several great blocks and clears. Jon provided a lot of support to the defense, offense and midfield. He scored a goal in the second half putting us within one goal of Farmington. Evan once again had several heroic saves as a defender. Chris was great on defense, particularly in the second half, with some great zone clearing kicks. Dan was truly incredible with his game saving saves and clears. Drew was our 'utility' player today, playing offense, defense and midfield exceptionally well. Craig was very strong on defense, making some great stops and clears. Brian played both defense and offense very well. He made several great stops on defense and kept the game in our control in the second half
