Game 5 - November 15, 2007 - Hawks 56 - Grizzlies 59.

The Hawks really put in a great effort tonight.  We played the first place undefeated team the Grizzlies.  We controlled the ball most of the first half and never ran out of steam in the second half.  The Grizzlies pressured our offense and took advantage of a few turnovers and pulled ahead in the second half. 

The Hawks however, were absolutely amazing in every shift.  Led by Siddharth with 21 points, we fought hard and stayed in all game.  With a 10 point deficit with less than two minutes, the Hawks came within three points as the buzzer sounded.  Siddharth did  a great job driving the ball up the lane and drawing six fouls in the first half.  The defense really played a great game too.  If we had better luck (we took significantly more shots at the baskets than the Grizzlies) with our baskets we'd have come out on top. 

We did have some amazing offensive rebounds by Jaylen, Mike and Shawn.  That allowed us to stay in the game.

Michael once again led the attacks and defense with great leadership and aggressive attacking. 

Nicholas broke his four game scoring drought with a great basket on a pass from Yash! 

We can compete with the best teams.  I was very happy to see how well we played and stayed in it until the very end.
